forgetmenot is a place where families keep their stories. A relative or a friend may have told or written something about you, or added a picture of you, without you having an account with us. This page says what that means.
The words of the stories that name you, what the software has drawn from them (that you exist, how you are related, years and places that go with you), and any picture of you that was added. We hold it for the family that added it, as a record of its own history.
Only the people the keeper of that archive has invited. It is not public, not searchable, not sold, not used for advertising, and not used to train AI models. To write the stories down and put them in order, the part concerned is sent to the services named in the privacy policy, for that purpose only.
We check that you are the person, tell the keeper that a request was made, and answer within a month. Where a story is about your private life, an accusation, or your health, and you object, we remove it at once.
Use the page Report something (no account needed), or write to zugzwangxstudios@gmail.com. Please say who you are, who you think told the story or added the picture, and what you want. We do not tell you who the keeper is, and we do not show you the archive.
You can complain to the data protection authority where you live, and in Switzerland to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (edoeb.admin.ch).
forgetmenot ist ein Ort, an dem Familien ihre Geschichten aufbewahren. Ein Verwandter oder ein Freund hat vielleicht etwas über dich erzählt oder geschrieben oder ein Bild von dir hinzugefügt, ohne dass du ein Konto bei uns hast. Diese Seite sagt, was das bedeutet.
Die Worte der Geschichten, in denen du genannt wirst, was die Software daraus gezogen hat (dass es dich gibt, wie du verwandt bist, Jahre und Orte, die zu dir gehören), und jedes Bild von dir, das hinzugefügt wurde. Wir bewahren es für die Familie auf, die es hinzugefügt hat, als Aufzeichnung ihrer eigenen Geschichte.
Nur die Menschen, die die Person eingeladen hat, die dieses Archiv führt. Es ist nicht öffentlich, nicht durchsuchbar, nicht verkauft, nicht für Werbung genutzt und nicht, um KI-Modelle zu trainieren. Um die Geschichten aufzuschreiben und zu ordnen, wird der betreffende Teil an die in der Datenschutzerklärung genannten Dienste geschickt, nur dafür.
Wir prüfen, dass du die Person bist, sagen der Person, die das Archiv führt, dass es eine Anfrage gab, und antworten innerhalb eines Monats. Wenn eine Geschichte dein Privatleben, einen Vorwurf oder deine Gesundheit betrifft und du widersprichst, entfernen wir sie sofort.
Nutze die Seite Etwas melden (ohne Konto) oder schreib an zugzwangxstudios@gmail.com. Bitte sag, wer du bist, wer deiner Meinung nach die Geschichte erzählt oder das Bild hinzugefügt hat und was du willst. Wir sagen dir nicht, wer das Archiv führt, und zeigen dir das Archiv nicht.
Du kannst dich bei der Datenschutzbehörde deines Wohnorts beschweren, in der Schweiz beim Eidgenössischen Datenschutz- und Öffentlichkeitsbeauftragten (edoeb.admin.ch).
